How Does the Game Work?

Starting off with pioneer plants, the aim is to modify the environment while respecting the natural order of progression using appropriate plant selection.

The goal of the game is to unlock all available plants and reach maximum soil fertility, while creating a beautiful artwork made out of pioneer plants.

What are Pioneer Plants?

Pioneer plants are a species that are the first to colonize barren environments destroyed by elements such as fire or by humans activities. These plants modify their environment to make it more welcoming for other species by breaking down rocks and creating soil which will in turn modify it to make it even more fertile and enable other species to thrive in this previously ravaged land.

For instance, some such plants produce a gooey substance called ‘biofilm’, that hosts and protects millions of other microorganisms, enabling them to develop and giving way to the construction of a new ecosystem.
